Certificate of Equivalence

There is a clear indication that candidates could not apply for the relevant cadre post if they have not the prescribed educational qualification. If anyone who achieved a degree from abroad and claimed that his/her qualification is equivalent to any of the educational qualifications mentioned in the advertisement then he/she have to submit an attested copy of the Equivalence Certificate verified by the concerned Equality Committee to the Board of Oral Examinations along with the Online Application Form in due time. Medical, Animal Husbandry / DVM degree holders are advised to contact BMDC, Veterinary Council for equivalence certificate. The tester must have to submit the original copy of the equivalence certificate to the interview board during the oral examination. Otherwise, the oral examination will not take at any cost.

Eligibility of Descended Candidates

If the candidates appeared in an examination with the required class/division they will eligible to participate in the BCS Exam. Even, if the results of that exam will not publish by the last date of submission of application for the BCS examination, then he will be able to submit the Online Application, but it will not accept permanently.

An applicant will consider as candidates who have completed all the written examinations of undergraduate (4yrs) or postgraduate level within the last date of acceptance of the application. But in this regard, the candidate has to submit the attested copy of the certificate to the oral examination board approved by the concerned examination controller, departmental chairman of the university or the head of the educational institution.

The revealed certificate (Prottoyanpotro) will accept without mentioning the start and end date of the undergraduate/postgraduate examination. Applicant’s original/provisional certificate of the university and the original copy of the certificate of descent (Prottoyanpotro) must submit as proof of passing to the Oral Examination Board of BCS. 

Age Limit for BCS Applicant

The BPSC bounded three different types of age limits for 3 types of candidates where their age must be 21-32 years between the dates of 1 November 2020. The types are – General, Freedom Fighters and Small Ethnic Caders. 

• All the General Applicants age must be 21-30 years. (Date of birth minimum 02.11.1999 maximum 02.11.1990).
• Children of all freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighters, disabled candidates and candidates of BCS (Health) cadre age must be 21 to 32 years (Date of birth minimum 02.11.1999 maximum 02.11.1988).
• Minor ethnic group candidates age must be 21 to 32 years (Date of birth minimum 02.11.1999 maximum 02.11.1988).

No applications will accept if the age of the candidate is less or more.

Citizens Conditions

Each and every applicant must the citizens of Bangladesh. Those who got married to a foreigner without pre-permission of the Bangladesh Government will consider ineligible to participate in the BCS Examination. In the case of the candidates who got married to a foreigner with pre-permission of the premier, they must have submitted the permission letter on the day of the viva-voce to the Viva-voce Examination Board of BCS.

Any citizen of Bangladesh irrespective of gender will considerably participate in the BCS exam. Those who are in the service under the Republic and if eligible and permitted they could participate in the BCS Examination.

• Secondly browsing the above-mentioned website, there will display three radio buttons – Advertisement, Instructions for Submitting Application and Cadre Option.
• Now select the ”Cadre Option” button.
• Then, there will display different categories of Application Form based on cadre preference, such as Application Form for General Cadres,  Technical/Professional Cadres,  General and Technical/ Professional (both) Cadres.
